Margherita Pizza Dip

Your favorite Pizza in Dip form!

Let's be honest, the best part of the pizza is the cheese, right? So we've turned our favorite part into a cheesy, melty and fun appetizer! With 4 kinds of cheese, your favorite sauce and fresh tomatoes, this is sure to be a hit for any pizza lover!


~ 8 oz cream cheese, at room temperature

~ 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan

~ 1 cup shredded mozzarella

~ 1/4 cup sour cream, at room temperature

~ 1 medium size burrata ball

~ 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

~ 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt

~ 1/4 teaspoon ground oregano

~ 1/4 teaspoon dried basil

~ salt and pepper to taste

~ 2 tablespoons pizza sauce

~ Fresh basil

~ 4 oz fresh mozzarella - small in size

~ Campari tomatoes sliced for garnish


1) Preheat oven to 425. With a hand mixer (or by hand), mix cream cheese, Parmesan, shredded mozzarella, sour cream and spices together. Blend until well combined and has a creamy texture.

2) Prepare an oven safe dish with a light layer of olive oil or nonstick spray. Add 2/3 of cheese mixture to bottom of dish. Layer 2 tablespoons (or more if you’d like) of pizza sauce to top of cheese. Add remaining cheese on top.

3) Bake in oven for 10 mins or until cheese starts to bubble.

4) Remove from oven after cheese is bubbly. Place the burrata to the middle of the dish, and add fresh chopped basil, sliced tomatoes, small mozzarella balls and extra Parmesan cheese to top. Place back in oven for another 7 to 12 mins or until burrata and mozzarella is mostly melted.

5) Serve hot with your favorite dippers, toasted baguette, crostini or chips, and of course a great bottle of Pinot Noir. Check out Rove Estate for great options.
